Ioana Dodu

Ioana Dodu came to Sweden from Romania to study one of our master’s programmes. She has now graduated and found a marketing job here in Stockholm. Ioana believes it is important to prepare for a successful career and therefore participated in several activities organised by the Career Centre:
- I wanted to prepare myself as best possible for the moment when I would graduate and start looking for a job. Good things come to those who are prepared!

Why did you choose to study at the School of Business here in Sweden?

I decided to apply to the School of Business because I wanted to expand my horizons. I wanted to study in an international environment and interact with students with backgrounds different from my own. The School of Business was the right choice because it offered me not only a great range of courses in my field of interest, but also a culturally diverse student body and teachers with experience from different domains.

What do you think is the main strength of the School of Business?

I think the programmes offered are the School of Business’ main strength. No matter what business field you come from, the School has courses that challenge you and bring to your attention the key issues in today’s global market.

You have participated in a range of activities organised by our Career Centre, can you tells us about that?

I participated in recruiting activities mediated by the Career Centre as well as CV and letter of intent training events. I wanted to prepare myself as best possible for the moment when I would graduate and start looking for a job. Good things come to those who are prepared.
I also kept up to date with the news, internships and job ads on the Career Centre website.

Did the activities help you, and if so, in what way?

Yes, they were helpful activities in that they gave me a preview of the Swedish job market and the demands it imposes on job seekers. They also demonstrated that the School of Business is actively interested in keeping talented young professionals in Sweden.
