PhD graduate Kjell Ljungbo gives a lecture during the Researcher's Days

On October 6 & 7 the 12th edition of the Researcher’s Days is organised at Stockholm University and once again 50 PhD graduates will lecture on a wide range of topics within social science, humanities, law and the natural sciences. You can expect plenty of interesting questions and prepare for many exciting discussions. The lectures are free and open to everyone.

Some of these lectures will be in English and Kjell Ljungbo, who took his PhD from the School of Business during the spring of 2010, will give a lecture on the following topic:

“Good language skills raise insight and profit”
By learning the local language in seven Eastern European countries in order to understand the role of culture and language in intercultural communication the PhD student found that Swedish managers in EE could obtain market closeness, trust and relation building, an informative edge, independent thinking, a holistic view and better efficiency just by increasing their local language skills. In this way costs are decreased while sales and profits are increased.

Time & Place: Thursday 7/10:  2.00-2.45 pm, lecture hall 4, Frescati- Stockholm University
